About SAMS

SAMS (Student Academic Management System) was initiated in 2009-10 Academic Session for 60 Junior Colleges. As per Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Orissa order No. 84485 Dated 1412-2009 and Dept. of Higher Education G.O.No. 344 dated 04-01-2010, it has been extended to 169 Government and Government Aided (Non-Government) Junior Colleges. This is also applicable for +3 wings from the Session 2011.

Objectives

  • Ensure single window system for admission through e-admission process
  • Make the admission process economical for applicants/parents
  • Make the entire process transparent, reducing anxiety among applicants
  • Reduce college workload through automated administration modules

E-Admission

E-Admission aims to use Information Technology to process applications, reducing time and improving efficiency. The process is economical, efficient, hassle-free, and transparent for students and parents. Applicants can submit their applications to any of the 410 Junior and 382 Degree Colleges under the e-Admission process.

E-Administration

E-Administration utilizes the e-Admission database for various academic and administrative activities including:

  • Identity card issuance
  • Fee collection
  • Section allocation
  • Admit card generation
  • Internal examination marks tabulation
  • Matriculation return submission

Common Application Form (CAF)

The CAF requires the following information:

  • 10th Board details (Board name, Year of Passing, Roll Number)
  • Correspondence address
  • Personal information
  • Reservation & weightage details

Important Note

Students can select up to 6 college/stream preferences in order of priority. Late reporting requires special permission from the college's international admission office.

Eligibility Criteria

+2 Level

Pass in High School Certificate (HSC) Examination of the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Orissa or its equivalent.

+3 Arts

Pass in +2 examination in Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational, or Upashastri.

+3 Science

Pass in +2 Science or Vocational Course at the CHSE level.
